6th grade ELA students put their teamwork skills to the test! 📚🤝 Using the story they’re reading in class, they worked together to place each part of the plot where it belongs.

Show Choir is back and better than ever! 🎶 62 talented members kicked off the season last week, and they’re ready to shine! 💃🕺 Let the music (and the excitement) begin!

👏 Sherri Wolles received the School Achievement Through Libraries (SATL) Award from the SD State Library.
👏 Richie Hutchinson was named Region 2 Assistant Principal of the Year.
👏 Erin McFarland was a finalist for Kleenex Heroes of the Classroom.
👏 Sarah Muller was nominated for an EmBe Award in Education.

Our 8th graders celebrated Constitution Day by stepping into the shoes of the Founding Fathers! They pieced together the Preamble, unscrambled key constitutional vocabulary, and debated real-life scenarios inspired by the Constitution. They did this all under the watchful eye of none other than George Washington himself!

🔥 Our 6th Grade Accelerated Science students put heat to the test in today’s lab! They explored how different materials affect heat transfer through hands-on experiments and critical thinking. 🔥

🔬 Our 7th grade Accelerated Science students took on the challenge of building the strongest electromagnets! 💡 Using batteries, copper wire, and iron nails, they explored the power of electricity and magnetism through hands-on experimentation.⚡🧲

We are beyond proud of our own GMMS 7th grade teacher Mrs. Vandrovec, who has achieved an incredible milestone by becoming a published author! She wrote the book, Held, out of a personal life experience and it has officially been published!

Just as we encourage our students to dream big and work hard toward their goals, it’s inspiring to see our teachers modeling that same dedication in their own lives.

Congratulations, Mrs. Vandrovec! Your story reminds us all that learning, creating, and achieving never stop!
