Birthday Book Club
There are lots of ways to celebrate and honor life’s special people and events. Do you want to celebrate your child's birthday with Jane Addams Elementary?
Donate a new book to our school library!
This is a great way to honor special people while helping to support reading in our school. Your $20 donation will buy a new library books for our school.
In addition, your child can:
* Choose a specific book to add to the library collection. If the book is requested in time, Mrs. Reavis may be able to order a special book based on specific interests or title.
* Your child will be the first person to check out the selected book.
* The selected book will include a nameplate inside the front cover.
* Your child can choose from a selection of bookmarks as a keepsake.
* To participate, please complete the form and return this page to the library with a check for $20 made out to Jane Addams Elementary. No cash please!

Our school follows the PBIS behavior system and focus on kids being respectful, responsible, and safe in all areas of their day at school! When a staff member recognizes a child demonstrating those qualities, they can receive a ticket. We collect tickets to earn school and individual rewards! Each week we draw a ticket for one student from each classroom to be recognized as our High Flyers! Keep soaring, Eagles!
5th graders showed great leadership skills when helping the 2nd graders log into their chromebooks for the first time! Mrs. Rausis was very appreciative of their help! Thanks Mrs. Gray for having them come help out!
On the first day of school, third graders in Miss Leloux's class had to do a STEM activity to "Save Fred!" They had to use teamwork and problem solving skills to save him! They even got to eat him afterwards! 😊
Kids got to play Uno in Family on Friday! Family time is a great time for kids in all grades to be mixed up and learn from each other! So fun!
First graders got to work with pattern blocks and make really cool patterns in Miss Joffer's class!

LAST CALL for Camp Invention! Secure your child's spot TODAY!
Teacher Pie in the Face Day! As apart of our PBIS rewards program, students can earn tickets throughout the year for showing responsibility, respectfulness, and safety. Students were randomly drawn to then get a chance to pie their teacher in the face! The kids were excited for the chance and had a blast watching and cheering them on!
On the last day of school, we have a fun tradition of an afternoon carnival!! It was a beautiful sunny day with so many great activities planned! Kids loved the snow cones, mini golf, parachute, dance offs, face painting, bean bags, and bouncy house! Thanks to Jessica Bowden for planning it all! Thanks to all of the parents who volunteered to run the stations! We always appreciate the parent help all year long! We also had the annual hot dog toss between Mrs. Van Duyn and a student as well!! Fun memories!
End of the Year Awards Ceremony honors all of our students accomplishments throughout the year! Each of the specials teachers announce outstanding performances in their area. Every teacher gives a shout out to their class for something special they have accomplished. We recognize our leaders in school who volunteered for Kids Care or Dow Rummel or did Student Council. There are academic and attendance awards and the list goes on and on! We end it by recognizing our Nancy Plato Award which is given to a parent who has demonstrated above and beyond support in and out of our school in a positive caring way. This year's award winner was Sarah Bauer! Congrats!
Big shoutout to the Student Council, Rob Hollan, and the ACE school community for the food drive for pajama day! 272 pounds of food were donated! Thank you for your support! Thanks Rob for taking on Student Council again this year!
We also want to wish the Hollan family well as an outgoing ACE family who has contributed positively to our school community in many ways over the past 10 years! Thanks for everything!
Happy Summer!! We are officially done with the 2023-2024 school year!! Thank you to all of our staff who worked so hard to make this another great year! Thank you to the students for putting in great effort all year long and representing ACE in such a positive way! Thanks to our volunteers for all of their amazing help in and out of the classroom! We wouldn't be able to do many of the things that make ACE unique without your support!
