This past week, a group of 8th grade Whittier students visited Southeast Technical College for the Women in Science event. The girls learned from dozens of exhibitors, completed hands-on experiments and science activities, explored a variety of career possibilities, and connected with local women already working in these professions. Not only is it Leap Day, but it is also Rare Disease Day! 🦓 Whittier Staff, sporting zebra stripes and/or rare disease colors (💜💗💙💚), gathered donations for Owen's Outfitters. Owen's Outfitters is a local medical lending library whose mission is to provide durable and disposable medical equipment at no charge to those who need it most, sourced through community donations. #SupportEachOther
