Tickets go on sale for the Fall Dance on Tuesday, October 31 during Protime. Tickets must be purchase at this time to attend the dance on Thursday, November 2. Cost is $3.

Last Monday, the Garden Club celebrated the beginning of fall by painting pumpkins from the garden!

Every Monday, students from across the district travel to George McGovern for the Middle School All-City Band rehearsal. This band is directed by our very own Mr. Rygg. They will be performing a concert in November at the Washington Pavilion.



The Middle School Choral Festival is TONIGHT at the Washington Pavilion! The event combines choirs from Ben Reifel, George McGovern and Whittier middle schools with the Augustana Choir for an unforgettable experience. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and it is free and open to the public.



Garden Club will be meeting Monday after school in Mrs. Kruse's room.
The Conference Cross Country meet was rescheduled to Monday at 4:00.

October 9-13 is National School Lunch Week. We celebrated by thanking our cafeteria workers for all they do to provide our students with breakfast and lunch everyday!


This Season a Flu Shot is More Important than Ever! Getting a flu vaccine is a great way to protect yourself, your family, and your community from the flu. 8th grade football players from GMMS had the opportunity to take a trip up to SDSU. They toured campus, played football with current SDSU football players and cheered on the Jackrabbits to victory. Thank you to Promising Futures for providing this amazing experience!





Mrs. Weber is a new 6th grade ELA teacher on the Hardrockers team. She went to SDSU and taught 4th grade at Terry Redlin before coming to GMMS.
Mrs. Weber got married this summer to her husband, Dom and they have a cat named Norman. She loves traveling, reading mystery books, and being outdoors.
Mrs. Weber's favorite part about GMMS is getting to work with such amazing students and staff every day! She says "GMMS knows how to lift one another up and wants to see everybody succeed. "
